  My VW Golf GTD broke down in the middle of the road and the RAC took it to one of their so called approved garages.
  
  They had the car for 4 days and changed several parts but it still didn't run properly.
  
  After taking it back to them 3 times in total, the garage gave me the number for Car Surgeon and promised to foot the bill.
  
  Reluctantly, I called the number they gave me and had my car booked in for the following afternoon.
  
  My car was dropped to Car Surgeon at 3pm and by 4:30pm they had my car running perfectly without having to change any parts.
  
  I couldn't believe it!!!
  
  They even helped me claw money back from the first garage too by providing me with a full diagnostics inspection exposing what had gone wrong and that the parts the first garage fitted were not required at all.
  
  Well that was in 2017, I've never gone to another garage other than to Car Surgeon since then and all of my family and some of my friend friends now use these lovely bunch of guys too.
  
  It is bookings by telephone appointment only though.
  
  If you do decide to go with these guys you won't go wrong at all.
