  My mother has 30% vision. macular degeneration and cataracts She has moderate dementia and last week moved into a care home from hospital. In hospital she broke her glasses, which are the one thing she never forgets. Her old opticians/prescription was at Blinks opticians Morrison- now shut!!! First I asked if specsavers could repair the broken arm i was told no unfixable!!
  Then I asked if a prescription could be made from her old lenses again No- it's illegal. This is after the shop assistant spoke to optometrist ( I had done this one other time in Morrison's where they got me to sign a waiver ) I told them this but they were not interested in helping in any way. There is no person centred care There onIy interested in selling you glasses
  I have since been in spec 4 u rubery who were amazing Firstly repaired the arm and charged me £2!! And after speaking to their optometrists have agreed to make a pair if i sign a waiver!! Stick with the small guys I will never go to Specsavers again
